Cassandra Clements Acoff

After high school, I attended and graduated from University of Alabama at Birmingham where I earned my BS in Accounting. I started my career at The Children's Hospital of Alabama and transitioned from Management Analyst to Assistant VP of Nursing Clinical Support and finally System Director of Patient Access Services. I earned my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Alabama A&M University. After nearly 15 years there, my husband's job transferred us to Memphis, New Orleans and to finally Tampa where we call home. I made the decision to retire early after 31 years in healthcare management and stop living at work and begin working at living. So now I am stress-free, traveling, enjoying my family & friends and simply...Living Out Loud!

My fondest memories were shared with my fellow band members, The Golden Virtuosos. We spent a lot of time together whether at football games, concerts, festivals, or parades. We had so much fun! I think all of us shared a bond with Mr. Brassfield, and we will always remember his famous quote: "Excuses are stepping stones to failure!"
